"There is an underlying, in-dwelling creative force infusing all of life--including ourselves."

~Julia Cameron, Author

At the nexus of human curiosity, intuition, inspiration and initiative is the in-dwelling creative force Cameron  speaks of above.  This creative force is part of our  birthright as humans, naturally drawn to bringing new things and ideas into  being.  But too often creativity is narrowly defined by the "right" ways of being creative.  Being subjected to such limitations can inflict what shame-researcher Brene Brown calls “creativity scars.”  Her ground-breaking research, published in her book Daring Greatly, points to “…incident(s) where [interviewees] were told or shown that they weren’t good writers, artists, musicians, dancers, or something creative,” (p. 190).  When we are shamed in this way, our capacity for innovation, expression, and connection is inhibited in all areas of our lives, cutting us off from a powerful tool for our own growth  and transformation.

What does it mean to live with creativity scars?  And what does it mean to overcome them?  My work seeks to liberate us from the myths and scars that limit our creativity.  If we are to live into our full selves and make the changes we wish to see in ourselves and in the world, our creativity must be  fully engaged and utilized.  This does not require that you consider yourself creative or artistic in the  traditional sense.  It only requires an open heart and curiosity.  I can help you get there.  Let's jump in together...
